British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, Nigerian authorities stated on Wednesday night. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash in the Lagos area on December 29th, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The sports star had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, his management team had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.

“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the commissioner stated.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”
